The role of the Provider Client Manager is to secure, build and sustain long term client relationships.

The Client Manager is the primary point of contact focused on client satisfaction, executing solutions as promised, demonstrating and maximizing the return on investment for the client. This function includes employees who are in dedicated on - site service roles.

Jobs in this function may work closely with sales on renewals and upselling, but incumbents do not have specific sales goal accountability or primary responsibility to close sales.

Account management jobs focused primarily on relationship and service management belong in this family; jobs with significant sales responsibilities or sales - related incentives (including 'OTH' plans) belong in a sales band. Primary Responsibilities: Manages ongoing contract relationships and service delivery to clients for one or more accounts Acts as outward - facing, dedicated resource for assigned accounts, typically with direct client contact (not call center) and large or complex accounts Builds relationships with employer / group clients (not individual members) and serves as the primary point of contact for overall and day - to - day service delivery Represents client internally and coordinates with other functions to implement client systems, complete projects, and address ongoing service needs Attend meetings with solution owners at client site locations Conduct onsite client meetings and internal client team meetings, as needed or as required at the direction of management Serve as point of contact for designated solution Identify solution area needs and position solution to meet those needs Stay current on relevant Optum solution updates Solve day to day client issues within solution area Partner with broad internal team - Sales, Implementation, Product, Support, etc.

not for profit, vision, mission and values and can recognize potential strategic opportunities) Support execution against Client Plan Participate in the client Planning Process Recruit attendance of clients at the Optum Client Forum Collaborate with Optum’s Provider Client Reference Program team to grow the number of reference - able clients Partner with the Marketing and Growth teams to determine approaches which leverages superior Net Promoter Scores® to create new sales opportunities Required Qualifications: Undergraduate degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience Excellent listening & collaboration skills Highly self - motivated and directed individual with strong negotiation & problem solving skills 5+ years of previous client management experience preferably in the healthcare / IT market Ability to travel from 50 to 75% within territory Demonstrated knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle management (All administrative and clinical functions that contribute to the capture, management, and collection of patient service revenue) Located within a commutable distance to Dallas / Houston TX Preferred Qualifications: Previous job experience working in client relationship management / account management Previous experience with Net Promoter Score (NPS) client satisfaction survey methodology Experience building and managing client account plans Experience building relationships with healthcare executives (Chief Financial Officers, Chief Revenue Officer, Chief Information Officer and other senior healthcare leaders).

Member of HFMA or other healthcare revenue cycle professional associations Experience with frequent business travel Careers with Optum.
